STORIES - An Interview with Leontine Borsato and Daughter Jada

Jewellery is more than just diamonds and shine. They are carriers of stories, memories and emotions. They connect generations and keep love tangible. In the run-up to Mother's Day, we asked Leontine Borsato and her daughter Jada for a personal mother/daughter interview.

What jewel do you cherish as a memory of her?
Jada:
My collier from byJACKY with a J attached to it, which mum and dad gave me at my 21 dinner, engraved with ‘Jada 21 (heart) mum & dad’.

And my bracelet with a gold four-leaf clover attached to it, which mum and dad gave me to bring me luck for my final exams.

Leontine:
My parents' wedding rings. My father passed away at the age of 58 and my mother wore his wedding ring along with hers. She had a star engraved in it after his death. I have these rings now and they are obviously very dear to me.

And a gold link/charm bracelet that my mother got from my father and I got from her again.

What advice would you give her?
Leontine:
Always stay close to yourself, close to your core. Know who you are and what makes you happy......

What is the best advice you got from your mum?
Jada:
There is a solution for everything.

At byJACKY, we believe that stories deserve a jewel that is as unique as you are.
We work with you personally to find the piece of jewellery that really suits you.
