What stood out most to Jacky was how intimate and storytelling-driven the Couture Show felt. Unlike large commercial fairs, this event focuses on niche, high-end jewellery brands that don’t just create beautiful pieces, but also share the stories, inspiration, and artistry behind them. Interestingly, despite its international flair, around 50% of the exhibitors hail from the United States, giving the show a dynamic yet balanced global atmosphere.

Couture vs. JCK – A Distinct Split in Las Vegas

Las Vegas hosts two major jewellery events simultaneously: the JCK Show and the Couture Show.

  • The JCK Show caters more to the mainstream side of the industry, showcasing gold, diamonds, and large-scale production, often represented heavily by Italian manufacturers.

  • The Couture Show, on the other hand, is more selective and luxurious, welcoming high-end, niche brands from around the world. Interestingly, many European designers now choose Couture over traditional Italian fairs. That said, major houses like Pomellato and Vhernier tend to be present at both.

For Jacky, this visit was about seeking out brands that are typically out of reach. It was a chance to connect with visionary designers, discover fresh perspectives, and explore collections that bring something new and meaningful to the world of fine jewellery.
